Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2
This time I
interviewed people that specifically like horror/zombie movies. What I found is that there is a difference in
the level of scared people would like to feel.
Some like the idea of being involved in this type of exciting game. Others, like the idea of watching and feeling
the fear with the safety of not really being involved.
It ended up breaking
down in my head that people who enjoy a really good haunted house at Halloween
would enjoy this experience. They like
to be involved in the action and not just spectating it.

Hey Alan, that's an important distinction you made between the two types of people who like horror. It's absolutely true that some horror fans like to be immersed, while others do not. I think that there also might be an opportunity to still involve those who find the immersion too scary, such as a scaled back version or something like that. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteHi Alan,
ReplyDeleteIt was a good idea to specifically interview those who liked horror or zombie movies. It definitely helped in narrowing down who is "in"" or "not." I agree with Amit, maybe like a fear level for the experience. Similar to rating movies or roller coasters, just to make the experience inclusive and for everyone.
